Progress in Academic Program
I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and was granted a teacher’s license from the State of Indiana’s Department of Public Instruction in 1983. Five years later I enrolled at De Anza College in Cupertino, California to pursue my interests in screenwriting and film production.
In the fall semester of 2004, I entered the graduate program in Instructional Technology at San Jose State University in San Jose, California. In May of 2006, I received my Master’s degree and was selected by the faculty to receive the program’s Richard B. Lewis Outstanding Graduate Award. In January of 2007, I began the Ph.D. program in IST at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, where I was awarded a four-year School of Education Fellowship.
